What’s Next? The 2026 Annual Stewardship Campaign

During the annual Stewardship Campaign we ask everyone at Grand River Unitarian (both friends and members) to review what GRU has come to mean to your life, reevaluate your current level of commitment and then make a financial pledge. A pledge is simply a formal way of stating what you plan to donate in the coming year. Let GRU know what you intend to give by filling out a Pledge Form

Understanding ahead of time what the congregation intends to give financially allows our leadership to plan programs and budget for the coming year.

In 2026 formal pledges are ESPECIALLY important as we welcome our next great minister. For the last four years, Grand River Unitarian had to dip into our savings to pay the bills because the donations coming in from the friends and members of the congregation have not kept up with our expenses. It’s time for us to level up and close the gap.

To keep up with our bills without resorting to using our savings, we need an average increase of $29 per month from each donor household. For households on a tight budget, smaller increases may be more realistic. For a few households, any increase is impossible. So, if you have the financial capacity to increase your pledge by more than $29 per month, please give generously so that everyone in our community can look forward to “What’s Next”—a future with our next great minister.

To simplify the logistics of donating, please consider a Pre-authorized donation form.

Please Note: A pledge is a statement of intention. It is not a legal commitment and it can be changed or cancelled at any time.
