Welcome to our Congregation

See Sunday’s service on the GRU YouTube page.

We’re proud that our national organization, including delegates from our congregation, voted to add an eighth principle for our movement on November 27th, 2021:
We, the member congregations of the Canadian Unitarian Council, covenant to affirm and promote individual and communal action that accountably dismantles racism and systemic barriers to full inclusion in ourselves and our institutions.

Meditation…pub nights…book studies…stitch circle…dances…
There’s still so much going on at GRU!
See our Calendar to browse our events.

We are a liberal religious community that descends from the Christian tradition and now includes people on many spiritual paths, supporting one another in our individual searches for truth and meaning. We draw inspiration from Christianity, Judaism, and other world religions, our direct experience of transcending mystery and wonder, the words and deeds of prophetic people, humanist teachings, and the spiritual teachings of Earth-centred traditions. We include believers, doubters, and seekers; those who pray, those who meditate, and those who pour their souls out in song. Will you join us?

We gather for our Sunday services at 10:30 a.m.  Out of respect for our more vulnerable members, masks are still required upstairs for Sunday services. View a description of Upcoming Services.  We are located at 299 Sydney Street in Kitchener, Ontario.  Visitors are welcome.
