Minister Emerita: Rev. Anne Treadwell

In December 2004, Rev. Anne Treadwell retired from 6+ years as Minister with the congregation – the first two years on a part-time basis, then a joyful step forward to full-time! She and her husband John moved to rural Nova Scotia in April 2005, where they spent 7 good years, and came back to Ontario in 2012, to live in Ayr.  Anne immediately re-joined the congregation, which she had missed deeply.  She initiated the Amnesty International Action Circle which meets once a month after the Sunday Service, and also attends "Tea and Theology" sessions and some other GRU activities.

In 2010 the congregation voted to name Rev. Anne Treadwell as Minister Emerita, honoring her service and formalizing her continuing spiritual relationship with the congregation.  Anne very much appreciates this recognition and finds it a joy to be associated with Rev. Jessica Rodela, the current Minister, in GRU membership.
